Who We Are
The Council of Coalitions is committed to providing an ongoing structure for the sharing of information and best practices among Parent Child Centred Coalitions, and serving as an advisory group to Healthy Child Manitoba with respect to issues involving the regional coalitions. Representatives from parent child coalitions meet four times per year.
What We Do
A Parent Child Coalition brings together community strengths and resources within a geographic boundary through partnerships or coalitions of groups from different sectors. This approach promotes and supports community-based programs and activities for children and families with a focus on positive parenting, nutrition and physical health, literacy and learning and community capacity.
